On Saturday 30 August 2025 we took a trailer up to Clarks Lane Farm for Titsey Summer Festival, Titsey Brewing Co.'s summer party on the highest point of the North Downs.
Doors at midday, music until half ten at night, and a field full of people settling in for the long haul. Our biggest and longest day of the year.
The Site
The festival sits on the Titsey Estate with the Downs stretched out behind it: live music across two stages, local food stalls, kids' entertainment and a fully stocked brewery bar. We took the horsebox trailer rather than a cart more counter, more cold storage, and enough capacity to trade solidly for ten hours without restocking mid-service.
A Menu Built for the Day
Festival trade isn't coffee trade. We built a menu specifically for Titsey: passionfruit and lychee lemonades, iced matcha, cold cans and functional drinks alongside the espresso menu, plus cookies, muffins and snacks. Kids' drinks, reusable cups, and a printed board of Titsey-exclusive treats. When you're the only place selling a cold drink that isn't beer, that matters.
Serving at the hatch: espresso, cans, kids' drinks and cookies off one counter.
Ten and a Half Hours
We opened at noon and served through to close. Mornings were coffee, afternoons were iced drinks and lemonade, evenings turned back to coffee as the temperature dropped and people settled in for the DJ set. One unit, one team, three completely different trading patterns in a single shift.
Reusable cups on the day, with the matcha board out front.
Why It Matters
A festival day is the clearest picture we can show anyone considering a Bless Start unit. It's a full day's takings in one booking, it proves the trailer can run off-grid on grass, and it shows how much of the margin comes from what you sell alongside the coffee. Every operator who runs a unit with us can take bookings like this.
If you're organising a festival or event, or you'd like to be the operator working them, get in touch.
